We are coming to you from the revamped headquarters of TenkaraGrasshopper Media, LLC to thank all of you, our loyal readers,  for giving us such a great 2014. Because of you all, we have kept TenkaraGrasshopper alive and kicking, with a few hiccups along the way and some slow post updates. For that we are deeply sorry and we aim to remedy that in the coming year.

Today, more than just thanking you, the President and Head Blogger of TenkaraGrasshopper.com felt that it was time to let you all know that we have some new things coming down the pipeline that you might consider a late Christmas present or even an early birthday present, depending on when your birthday is.

The twilight days of 2014 are here, albeit short days it seems, and it is now time to review the past year and maybe even set some new goals for 2015. Care to join me on this journey down memory lane? Who knows, this might help you to jog some memories of this past year as well.

Tenkara Guide Tips #4A

Maintaining a Tenkara Rod

In the last installment of the Tenkara Guide Tips #4 The Care and Feeding of a Tenkara Rod we discussed how not to break a tenkara rod. Today we are going to take a look at how to properly maintain a tenkara rod if it gets wet or seems to stick when it is being extended or collapsed. This procedure can be done at home or riverside. I prefer doing this while I am home as there are fewer chances of losing parts, as long as the kitten does not make it into the TenkaraGrasshopper Man Cave!
